Transition Services

How We Help

Owasso Public Schools Transition Services help students with disabilities prepare for life after high school. These programs focus on building job skills, gaining real work experience, and supporting students as they move toward employment and greater independence.

Transition Services at Owasso High School

Extended Transition Services through OPS | 18-22 year olds

Owasso Public Schools offers a specialized Extended Transition Program for students with disabilities who have completed the academic credits necessary to receive an alternate diploma but still require additional transition training.

  • Located at 202 E. Broadway
  • Designed for students who need continued support after high school
  • Focuses on practical skills for adulthood, including independent living, job training, and community engagement

Students are engaged in their community through hands-on experiences that help bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application. Through community-based activities, students explore different environments, collaborate with local organizations, and develop skills that support personal and professional growth.

These experiences help students build independence, strengthen real-world skills, and develop a stronger connection to their community.

Goal:
Equip students with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in adult life, employment, and as active members of their community.
