SPARK (Before & After Care)

Owasso Public Schools offers before & after care services, called OPS SPARK.

SPARK (Supplemental Programs and Activities for Ram Kids) is a before- and after-school program designed to provide a safe and welcoming solution to support our students and families with trustworthy childcare that will “spark” students to dream, think, create, explore, and play.
SPARK is open to students in grades PK-8 who are enrolled in the district and operates out of all nine elementary schools, along with the 6th Grade Center.
We are pleased to inform you that SPARK is now able to accept DHS assistance! To learn more or to enroll your student, please visit our SPARK page.

Bus Route Information

The Address Look-Up has been provided to assist families with bus route information.

If you need assistance, or an address is in question, please contact the Transportation Office at 918-272-2231.

Technology Routes (Morning & Afternoon)

Tulsa Technology transportation is provided from the Owasso High School - East Campus in the bus loop. Students must arrive prior to the published departure times.

As we prepare for the 2026-27 school year, we want to remind families about Oklahoma's "Bell-to-Bell" cell phone law (HB 1276), which prohibits student use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices during the instructional day.

This law is intended to reduce distractions and support a focused learning environment where students can fully engage in their education.

To comply with state law, Owasso Public Schools follows Board Policy 5.31 – Wireless Telecommunication Devices, which can be viewed in its entirety on our website.

Here's what this means for students at Owasso Public Schools for the 2026-27 school year:

While students may possess a cell phone or personal electronic device while on school premises, students are prohibited from using those devices at any time between the first bell ringing at the start of the school day and the dismissal bell at the end of the school day.
Consistent with expectations from previous years, devices must be silenced and put away during the school day.
Exceptions may be made for situations such as medical emergencies, natural disasters, lockdowns, or to monitor health issues, including but not limited to glucose monitoring.
Students with special needs may use cell phones or personal electronic devices during the school day if their IEP, Medical Plan, or 504 Plan explicitly requires their use as assistive technology for medically or educationally necessary purposes. To qualify for this exception, the use must be documented as an accommodation necessary for instruction or communication within the student's IEP, Medical Plan, or 504 Plan.
"Personal electronic device" means a personal device capable of connecting to a smartphone, the Internet, or a cellular or Wi-Fi network, or directly connecting to another similar device. Personal electronic devices include, but are not limited to, smart watches, smart headphones, laptops, tablets, and smart glasses.

We appreciate your partnership in supporting a positive learning environment and ask that you review these expectations with your student before the start of school. Child Nutrition

Free and Reduced Meal Applications

The Free & Reduced Meal Application for the 2026–2027 school year is now available online or in print. Once available, families will be able to complete the application online through MySchoolApps.com or obtain a printed application from the Child Nutrition Office, located at 202 East Broadway.

Please continue to check back for updates. We anticipate the application will be available later this month, but an exact release date has not yet been determined.

MySchoolBucks

MySchoolBucks is an online payment service that provides a quick and easy way to add money to your student’s meal account using a credit/debit card or electronic check.

Chromebooks

Students will receive a new Chromebook and charger as follows :

5th-grade students will receive a new Chromebook and charger and will use the same device through the 8th grade.
9th-grade students will receive a new Chromebook and charger and will use the same device through the 12th grade.

Immunization Information

Immunization Requirements for Kindergarten, 7th Grade, and New Students

Incoming kindergarteners,7th graders, and all new students must submit immunization records during enrollment.

For school enrollment, a parent or guardian shall provide one of the following:

Current immunization records, State of Oklahoma Immunization Requirements, (State of Oklahoma Immunization Requirements-SPA) or
An approved Certificate of Exemption.

Tulsa Health Department Vaccinations Information

The Tulsa Health Department (THD) encourages students to receive their required and recommended vaccines soon. THD is pleased to offer walk-in availability for immunizations at select locations. Immunizations may be obtained at four convenient locations in Tulsa County:

Central Regional Health Center (315 S. Utica)

Walk-ins available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (other weekdays by appointment). Walk-in clinic hours extended to 6:00 p.m. on August 12th and 19th.

North Regional Health and Wellness Center (5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.)

Walk-ins available Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment)

James O. Goodwin Health Center (5051 S. 129th E. Ave.)

Walk-ins available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (other weekdays by appointment). Walk-in clinic hours extended to 6:00 p.m. on August 5th and 14th.

Sand Springs Health Center (306 E. Broadway)

Fridays only, appointments are required.

Parents can schedule appointments at a convenient time and location online at www.tulsa-health.org/back2school. Parents can also call THD at 918-582-9355 to schedule an appointment. Shot records and birth certificates may also be requested online.

Parents can request that THD staff enter an immunization record for those students who do not have a record in the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System (OSIIS).

Parents may also receive immunizations through their medical provider or pharmacy. The Oklahoma Caring Foundation mobile Caring Van will also provide free immunizations to those who qualify at child care homes, centers, schools, and community events. View their summer calendar
