Library Policies

Overview

Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade have a scheduled storytime most weeks. Students in grades 2 - 5 are allowed to come to the library as often as needed to check out books.

Our library has over 11,000 copies of fiction, non-fiction, and picture books available for the children to check out. We also have a reference section that is not available for check-out, but students can use it in the library.

There are also many resources available online. See the Databases & Resources webpage for more information.

Library Hours

All Library Media Centers are open during school hours.

Check-Out Policy

OPS Library Media Centers have an open check-out policy which means that libraries are open all day for students to check out books as often as they like. A book is due two weeks after check-out, and students are free to renew unfinished books.
