Prorated Voluntary Deductions

Benefits for employees who receive 9 paychecks for the school year will be prorated to ensure all voluntary deductions are paid for June, July, and August. If your voluntary deductions are more than your net pay, you will be required to write a check each month to pay the difference(s). 

Medical, Dental, Vision, EGID Life Insurance - prorated from January to May

Sunlife Life Insurance - prorated January to May

American Fidelity - prorated September to May

Texas Life - prorated September to May

8 Months of Premiums Taken Over 5 Months:


Monthly Medical Premium
= $918.12         

                                                  - $615.90  (District paid amount) 

                                                    $302.22 x 8 / 5 = $483.55 – Premium for January to May

Monthly Dental Premium = $38.04 x 8 / 5 = $60.86 – Premium for January to May

Monthly Sunlife Life Insurance = $18.65 x 8 / 5= $29.84 – Premium for January to May

 **If the district paid flex benefit amount of $615.90 fully covers your medical, dental, vision, and life insurance your benefits will not need to be prorated**

**Full-time employees who opt out of medical benefits will receive two additional support-in-lieu payments of $189.69 in June**
