COVID-19 Data for OPS

The information displayed is a daily running total that is updated at the end of each school day. Cases will roll on and off as affected people go in/out of quarantine or isolation. The information below shows all current reported cases among students and district staff. All students and staff represented in this chart who are required to quarantine have been personally notified by an OPS administrator.

*This does not necessarily mean that those who tested positive were exposed at a school or other district site. Additionally, those counted in the quarantine data are not necessarily having to quarantine because of exposure at a school or other district site. For example, if a parent/guardian were to test positive for COVID-19 it is possible that his/her student(s) would need to quarantine due to close contact in the home with the parent/guardian. Close contact is defined as being less than 6 feet for at least 15 cumulative minutes within a 24-hour period, kissing, hugging, or sharing food or drink with a person with COVID-19 within 48 hours prior to his/her onset of COVID-19 symptoms and/or for 10 days following onset of symptoms.

Positive Cases in Isolation

Owasso Public Schools is following CDC and Tulsa County Health Department recommendations by requiring all students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 to remain in isolation for at least 10 days beginning on the date of the onset of symptoms. Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 must meet ALL conditions of the Return to School criteria before returning to OPS buildings:

  • 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication
  • 10 days have passed since the onset of symptoms
  • Improved respiratory symptoms
Close Contacts in Quarantine
Those who have been identified as being in close contact with someone who has tested positive, whether that exposure occurred on or off of district property, must be quarantined for 14 days per the CDC and Tulsa County Health Department.
