The Owasso Public Schools Transportation Department serves as the home base for the 90 bus drivers responsible for transporting approximately 5,000 students to and from their school sites daily. The department presently oversees 74 bus routes and 22 shuttles that transport these students. The Transportation facility also serves as the base for several staff mechanics and other personnel, who supervise, train, and evaluate drivers. Within the Transportation department, there are also 22 dedicated crossing guards that help provide safety for students each school day.

Around 740,000 miles are driven each year by the buses in the Owasso school system. Nearly 90,000 miles are driven each year for activities. District bond issues allow five to eight buses to be purchased annually.
